In addition to our strong values as a good corporate citizen, we also pride ourselves as having made a huge contribution to the industrial development in Japan for more than 60 years.
In times when our country was faced with problems including energy shortage, trade disputes, instability of the yen currency, and a sluggish domestic economy, we maintained business continuity and
emerged as an even bigger company - thanks to continued support from our valued customers.
Our business began as a partnership back in 1937 and later incorporated into SHOWA RUBBER CHEMICAL INDUSTRY INC. in May 1943. Our primary focus has been development and advancement of rubber
production technology for both rubber and plastic for industrial applications, automobile parts, construction machinery parts, ships and vessels parts, electrical parts, office automation usage,
medical apparatus, bearings, seismic isolation and vibration control for buildings, and other general rubber parts.
Currently, we have two manufacturing facilities: Ibaraki, Japan and Laguna, Philippines. The Philippine Factory, Showa Polymer Process Corporation, was established in December 1996 as part of our
expansion plan.
