Reclaim Rubber
Reclaim Rubber is a product manufactured out of waste/scrap tires and tubes. Ground and vulcanized scrap rubber tires & tubes are treated with heat in the presence of chemical agents.
Mechanical work is then done on it to recover its original plasticity. It is thereby made reusable for further compounding, processing and vulcanizing as per the requirements of the individual
rubber product. During reclamation process the chemical un-saturation remains unchanged.

Whole tires are cracked to suitable size. The fibers are mechanically removed from the cracked tires. The relatively fiber-free scrap is ground to finer mesh size and further mixed with
chemical agents in a reclaimator.
The temperature in the reclaimator is kept in the range of 204-260 C for the required time for de-vulcanization. Reclaimed material is then mixed and blended with small proportions of reinforcing and processing agents.
Applications of Reclaim Rubber

Low power consumption during break down and mixing. During manufacture, reclaimed rubber has already been throughly plasticised.
- Low mixng, calendaring and extrusion temperature.
- Non-critical calendaring temperature range. Reclaim rubber is less nervy than virgin rubber and hence builds up less internal heat in the calnender bank, imparting more process safetry.
- Fast and Uniform calendaring and extrusion

- Low Thermo plasticity. Due to the cross linked structure of reclaimed rubber, its compo9und are less thermoplastic than virgin rubber compounds and therefore when extruded and cured in open stream they tend to hold their shape better.
