Block Moulded Sheets

Our engineering expertise has enabled us to be innovative in the design and manufacture of moulded EPS -EPP products. In order to ensure we meet our customers requirements timeously and effectively, we have a full standby plant for continuity of production.

Our in-house tool room is equipped with the latest CNC milling machines and computer aided design capabilities. We are, thus able to offer innovative and technologically advanced mould solutions. Production of these moulds is done with pinpoint accuracy and with strict adherence to time deadlines.

It is used to make a range of applications and features good absorption with low weight, good resilience following static or dynamic loading resistance to chemicals. They are environmentally friendly and can be recycled using a variety of methods and contains no blowing agents.

Polypropylene is the ideal material all around the automotive sector, as a construction material and for multiple-use packaging.

EPP has achieved major market penetration in the MOTOR INDUSTRY on a world wide stage. It also serves as a suitable durable and resilient packaging material particularly where the packaging is used on a round-trip, re-usable basis. The Company has developed the technology and experience in EPP production and plans a major expansion in this field during the coming year.

EPP is a polypropylene foam material. Its expanded foam beads are predominantly closed-cell. Loose beads are blowing agents for processing into a wide variety of foam mouldings. The company pioneered the manufacture of expanded polypropylene products in this country. This raw material offers other dimensions to all moulded products with its increased strength and durability.

Sheets are moulded in block format and are cut to size on our sophisticated hot wire cutting machines. Standard dimensions are held in inventory but special cuts to customers requirements can be negotiated on request.

AUTOMA also offers cut sheets of EPS for use in the building industry and for insulated applications and paneling. These products are made with EPS which has been specially treated to make it fire-retardant. Artistic designs and special cuts can be made to customer requirements.

Automa not only applies packing and insulation to the above mentioned sectors, but also provides expanded styrene moulding in the form of technical produced parts and consumer goods.

Since EPS does not contain CFC (chlorofluorocarbons) it poses no threat to the earth's delicate ozone layer, while its ability to be 100% recyclable means that it is environmentally friendly as well.

Because expanded polystyrene consists of 98% air it has excellent cushioning and insulation properties making it an ideal medium for protective packaging and insulation. It is also non toxic, odourless, non allergic and does not harbour micro-organisms.

EPSs versatility both in terms of its physical properties and design makes it suitable for a large variety of products surrounding us in our daily lives.
