FEP
Fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer
FEP, or Teflon-FEP?,is a copolymer of hexafluoropropylene and tetrafluoroethylene. Itdiffers from the PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) resins in that it
ismelt-processible using conventional injection molding and screwextrusion techniques. Fluorinated ethylene propylene was invented byDuPont and is sold under the brandname Teflon-FEP?. Similar
productsare available from Dyneon and Daikin with the brand name ofNeoflon-FEP?.
FEPshares PTFE's useful properties of low friction and non-reactivity, butis more easily formable. FEP is softer than PTFE and melts at 260 ?C;it is highly transparent and resistant to UV
radiation.
Our tubes and films for outstanding resistance to chemicals and temperatures and excellent dielectric and mechanical properties.
