These elastomers have enabled new molding techniques to be developed (e.g. very flexible glove molds) and also the molding of very aggressive reproduction resins (polyurethanes, polyester, epoxies, etc). Access to translucent and transparent grades together with the appropriate mechanical properties have also enabled the development of vacuum prototype molding. This type of application covers a very broad-ranging market, spanning from decorative molding to industrial molding.
