The ultimate expression of luxury and decadence, our brand new Absynthia gown is reminiscent of Victorian elegance with all the sexiness of the modern Gothic.Made of gorgeous triple-pile black velvet, black crinkle taffeta, and stunning iridescent green taffeta with black velvet stripes. It's all sensual textures and shine. Perfect for a glamorous night on the town- heck, you'll love the fit so much you will want to wear it to the grocery store.The bodice fits like our Lucy dress. Close and curve-enhancing with it's sweetheart neckline, delicately gathered at the center. A sweetheart neckline is the ideal way to enhance your bust and create the illusion of a fuller cup. It's low enough to display your favorite necklace or Gloomth collar perfectly. The bodice is made of fully-lined black triple-pile velvet, which conceals any "flaws" and feels deliciously soft. The bodice has boning at the sides to help it keep its shape. Please note this is not steel boning, it's just an added touch to help retain the structure of the garment and is not restrictive like a true corset.The wide straps are great if you want to wear a bra underneath the dress or to add that extra support if you're dancing. They are completely removable and fasten with demure buttons on the inside of the bodice.The back of the bodice features dramatic corset lacing with luscious sage-green satin ribbon to tie it. You can also order this dress with black satin ribbon if you prefer. The lacing is great for getting a perfect custom fit and showing off any tattoos.The eye-catching skirt consists of two layers. The top layer is a short green and black stripe bustle, swooping lower in the back than the front for a classic Victorian inspired shape. Punctuated by two satin bows at the front, it's sure to draw all eyes to you. The back of the skirt/bustle zips up with a hidden zipper for ease of entry. The lower layer is a long black taffeta skirt that shimmers and moves beautifully when worn.
