Thai Product International Co., Ltd. was established in 1983 by the chairman of the company, Mr. Santi Pongpandecha (Ph.D) in which the company was located on Vuthagart Road in Thonburi District, Bangkok. After years of successive business growth, the second and third factories were constructed in Sanpatong district of Chiangmai in 1992 and Pasicharoen district of Bangkok in 1994 respectively.

On the market side, the company started by supplying ladies underwear to its associate company, Vena Garments Ltd. Later in the first year of operation, the company then diversified the product range into outerwear products for ladies and children for the Middle Eastern markets, mostly to Saudi Arabia. The company entered European market from Germany to Benelux and surrounding countries with jackets and sport wears.

The main products were later diversified to the area of ladies and children nightwear and supply to most of leading chain stores in the U.K. In October 2002, the U.K branch had been opened under the name of TPI (UK) Ltd. to provide more efficient and faster design including sales service for majority of customers in the U.K. whose product are mainly based on licensed characters, e.g., Disneys Winnie the Pooh etc.
