Zikky Swimwear

Well, after all the hard works, the very first designs of Zikky swimwear are now ready and we are so excited to market it.

The composition of fabric used for our swimwear is 82% Polyamide and 18% Elastane/spandex. For spandex, we insisted on LYCRA. Everybody knows LYCRA due to the brand name. The brand name is so successful and powerful that people call spandex as LYCRA. But actually not all spandex has LYCRA. Most branded swimwear manufacturers, such as Triumph and SPEEDO, use LYCRA spandex. Normally, manufacturers who used LYCRA spandex would attach LYCRA Hang Tag to their swimwear. Zikky uses LYCRA spandex and LYCRA hangtags, which we applied from Invista is attached to each of our swimwear.

The idea came about as my wife loves swimming, but being a Muslim, she was having problem finding a suitable swimwear that would suit her taste. The swimwear must be of superior quality. The quality must be similar to those branded swimwear already in the market. It must be comfortable. It must be practical, but most of all the designs must be modest so that Muslimahs could also enjoy swimming as sport and leisure. We have all these visions in mind when we started with our research and development works. We decided to open a small office cum manufacturing company so that we can come out with our own Muslimah swimwear designs. The selection of fabric was done carefully taking into consideration quality, practicality and UV protection. The designing was also done carefully taking into considerations comfort, practicality, modesty, style .. You name it.

The opportunity to start a business in Malaysia is so out there. You can find support anywhere as long as you know where to get it. Information are important and being in a knowledge-based economy, we have the Internet, the media to help get all sorts of information that we need. Anyway, before you can start a business, you need to have an idea of what kind of business you want to get your self into. It must be something that you like. It must be something that you believe you can do. It must be something that could excite you.
