Triquetra Celtic Patch, Silver on Black
$4.00
This ancient Celtic symbol, known as the Triquetra or Eternity Knot, clearly displays their mystical belief in the power of three (known as triads). They used the Triquetra in pre-Christian times
to symbolize the 3 cycles of life - birth, death, and rebirth. It also served to represent 3 geographical elements - earth, air, and sea. This is not, however, to be confused with the Triskelle, or
triple spiral, which represented the 3 faces of the Goddess (maiden, mother, crone). And aside from all that, it just looks cool! A wonderful symbol of continuity and pre-Christian mythology.
Dimensions: approx. 3" tall.
