The Tyre Company business was established in 1940's, and it pioneered retreading of tyres in Sri Lanka by supplying conventional rebuilds to the market. This company is the largest tyre retreader in Asia and has more than 40% share of the local market. At present Richard Pieris Tyre Company has grown into a fully-fledged, large-scale operation.It engages in Tyre re-treading, Re-manufacturing and Trading. The product portfolio consists of re-treaded tyres for light and heavy commercial vehicles, re-manufactured radial tyres for passenger and light truck vehicles, new tyres, tubes and flaps.
