Sophisticated hand-held scanning tool enables fast and easy access to engine based EOBD DTCs with the added versatility of reading and clearing air bag ABS and transmission DTCs on VW/Audi BMW/Mini Mercedes Volvo and Vauxhall from varying start dates (see table). The VS8650 gives clear concise DTC definitions on its large back-lit LCD screen. This CAN enabled tool retrieves generic P0 P2 and P3 and U0 codes for engine emissions and also picks up manufacturer specific P1 P3 and U1 codes. Unit then turns off MIL light clears codes and resets monitors. Unit also stores freeze frame data for later evaluation and will also display monitor and I/M readiness status. Additionally this tool will read and display the live ECU/PCM data stream plotting selected functions graphically.
