The SSM is a fault diagnosisdevice that provides a standard means of automotive fault diagnosis. Itcommunicates with the various system control modules equipped in avehicle to monitor control module input/output data, and to allowchecking and deletion of diagnostic codes generated by thecontrolmodule. It also provides means to reset control module learningvalues and other control parameters, and to force operation of enginecontrol system actuators.

Application software running on a PC provides aninteractive user interface for very simple operation. High-speedcommunication with the engine control system and transmission controlsystem help to make checking of various phenomena faster than everbefore.

The SSMis a powerful fault diagnosis device (for Subaru vehicles) that hasbeen developed using the latest advanced technology. Used incombination with a PC, it provides a tool for quick and efficientanalysis of vehicle faults.
