fiber-optic access in the vehicle. The connection to the workshop network is effected via network cable to a free network connection. Like the OPPS, the OPS does not have an air interface, as the
high bandwidth required for programming can currently only be achieved by means of a cable connection.
OPS is mainly used for diagnosis and programming vehicles after E65 series . OPS unit with DIS software is used for diagnosis, which is carried out via OBD-II socket .OPS unit with SSS software is used for programming, which is carried out via OBD-II socket and MOST socket .
