Motor vehicle headlamp systems - be it a 2- or a 4-headlamp system - are generally equipped with halogen lamps nowadays. Therefore lamps made of hard glass and qartz glass designs are used. Modern headlamp systems are also equipped with discharge lamps filled with Xenon gas. PLANSEE supplies for automobile halogen lamps:Mo-dipped beam shields for restricting the light cone at H4-lamps Mo/MY-sleeves (prematerial: ribbon) for attaching the spiral tungsten filament to the leading-in pins ML-wire/pins or ML/Ni-pins for power supply and conducting current MY-ESS ribbon for conducting current at quartz glass lamps Ribbons/wires made of Mo/Pf or Ta used as a welding aid
