Big news for 2009 was the all-new RM-Z450. First, including a battery-fuel injection and aluminum tank!
 
Fuel System
We took a proven fuel injection system from the GSX-R motorcycle, and LT-R450 and deposited it on the all-new RM-Z450. To raise standards, we made a battery loose fuel injection system that gives you fast response during acceleration.
 
To get the right amount of fuel and air, we have inserted a Keihin throttle housing, designed and produced by Keihin specifically for motocross. A progressive throttle linkage from the house makes it open more gradually in small rash on the throttle, which improves control over the engine and the explosive impact
brought down to the ground.
 
Aluminum Tank with fuel pump
Built in fuel tank sits a Keihin fuel pump supplying fuel to the electronic injection. Fuel pump is embedded in a protective rubber casing. When fuel is streamlined fuel consumption to less, because the idea has decreased in size to 6.2 liters.
 
Cylinder
To take advantage of the new fuel system fully, we had to also look at the cylinder head to improve the intake rate. Step one was to modify the intake kamtiden shame and modify intake of sport angle to reduce drag. Step two was to optimize the exhaust channels and kamtiden. These two changes make sure you get maximum power out of your RM-Z450.
 
Gearbox
RM-Z450 has been given extra gear. Now you have all 5 gears to work with on the track. There is no
doubt that you will benefit from it when the amount varies from time to time. With the new
link system, you will feel that switching transitions are smoother. Base will
no longer to determine your driving style.
 
Brakes
To effectively stop the RM-Z450 race-inspired brake discs on both front and rear wheels. Brake discs released through better soil and clay compared with traditional discs, so that there will be added as a layer on the disc.

Warm Start
Hot start has been moved from the left to the right side of the handlebars so that you can use the link completely undisturbed, if necessary.
 
Frame
A completely new frame is a need for a stronger bike. With the right modifications, we have succeeded
create a framework that is stronger, more stable and easier.
 
Chassis
The chassis has become narrower to give you the driver maximum flexibility and control over the machine.
 
Swing
As a complement to the new context has also changed the swing. With a thinner wall thickness can
the smoother over bumps while the weight is reduced.
