A working sim card has to be inserted the GPS unit. Whenever you send a text message to the unit it will respond with coordinates of where it is located. You can use these coordinates on any mapping software (for example google earth) which will pin-point where exactly your object is located. You can request the unit to constantly send you coordinates at specific intervals (minimum 20sec), or send you x number of positions i.e. every 30 sec.

You can restrict the mobile numbers to which the unit responds, dial in to listen to the sounds in the vicinity of the unit, get alerts when preset speed is exceeded, the object leaves predefined area, exceeds certain speed, and many more. This unit is specifically designed to run of a vehicle battery 12-24v with all required leads included. If anyone would try to cut the power to the unit, the internal battery will take over and will send you an sms message.
