Low Power

The hardware unit sends the position report SMS to call center or preferred numbers when the polling request SMS is received. In case of no GPS coverage the last recorded position will be sent in reporting SMS.

            Polling Response:

The hardware unit sends regular position via SMS to call center or updates position on Web server using GPRS depending on the configuration of hardware unit. This can be dynamically configured by sending SMS to hardware unit using software and can be changed anytime.

Voice Communication

Two RS232 communication port that can be used for connecting various other devices, like Barcode Reader, Car navigation system, Printer, Bio-metric finger print readers, RFID Card readers or to expand for any other legacy system.

External Communication

It has 2 Digital Inputs, 2 Analog Inputs, 1 Digital output, and 3 other configurable Input/Output connections to monitor or control various parameters of vehicle.

Dedicated Ignition and ACC input to monitor vehicle usage and idle time.

Inputs/Outputs

Slow flashing 75 ms on / 3 s off IDLE mode: The mobile is logged to the network (monitoring control channels and user interactions). No call in progress.

Fast Flashing 600 ms on / 600 ms off Limited Network Service: No SIM card inserted or no PIN entered, or network search in progress, or ongoing user authentication, or network login in progress.

GSM LED Indication. Permanently off GSM POWER DOWN mode, ALARM mode, CHARGE-ONLY mode, SLEEP mode with no wake-up event in progress.

GPS LED Indication. It flashes every 500msec in case of no Valid GPS coverage. It flashes twice for 100msec and off for the 3 sec when there is valid GPS coverage.

Power LED Indication.

Indications

CALL Key. This key is used for picking up the incoming calls. Buzzer starts beeping to indicate incoming call. Also same key can be used to dial out predefined single call center number to initiate voice call.

SOS Key. When SOS key is pressed and hold for 1 sec, unit will first send SOS alert via GPRS and SMS to central server. After that It send Alert SMS message to predefined three cell phone numbers.

Keys

Inbuilt Backup Battery to detect the main supply failure and send alerts to Center Server, usually due to break-in or tempering. Battery backup for about 3 Hrs after external supply is removed.

Battery Backup

microSD Card 256/512Mb for storing the position and other data. Up to five year of history data is stored in the unit (Logging at rate if every 10Sec position data).

Memory

32 bit ARM7 Processor for application processing with different logics for communication to Central Server, with inbuilt full logging system.
