Low reliability of some components (transmitting-receiving system and turntable of transmitting-receiving cabin); Termination of production of vacuum electronic devices (travelling wave tube UV-74, thyratrons TGI-2-400/16, magnetrons MI-29 and others) and impossibility to replenish sets of spare parts with these devices; Absence of equipment for digital processing of radar data, and, as a consequence, impossibility of efficient operation as a component of up-to-date and prospective air traffic control (ATC) automated systems. During quantity production of 1L118 (LIRA-1) radars the Lianozovo Electromechanical Plant and the Design Bureau "LIRA" have developed and introduced into production more reliable and convenient for operation components: solid-state low-noise amplifier 174UV01L, new receiving system 394 PU01M and 394PS01L, high stability magnetron I-503, more reliable thyratron unit "S-3 with metal-ceramic thyratron, new support bearing and equipment VIP-118 for digital processing of radar data. The plant has developed bulletins for integration of above mentioned components into P-37 radar directly at places of radars use. In 1999 - 2000 the plant has carried out the work on repairing and partial modernisation for 15 radars of the 1RL139-2 type.
The P-37 radar at present time is one of the prevalent sources of primary radar data used by ATC enterprises of Russia |
