Waveon 508 is an entry-level mobile data terminal (MDT) designed for in-vehicle applications including dynamic dispatching, driver tracking, status reporting, and more. The MDT is ideal for businesses and organizations in the transportation, logistics, public safety, and homeland security/defense industries. Waveon 508 features a fully illuminated monochrome display with 24 alphanumeric keys, a control panel and an audio function, which have been optimized for efficient operation and communication, both day and night. In addition, Waveon 508 also provides a two-way messaging capability that enables data to be easily transferred between the MDT and the command center via a serial RS-232 port that is connected to a wireless modem. Waveon 508 offers a range of customization possibilities including printer, data-logger, and data input devices such as magnetic card slot reader, memory ID button reader, and more, to offer a complete solution to fleet managers and businesses.
