The Rolls has been owned for 23 years by its former owner, and 26 years under restoration. Mechanically all original. No parts donated from any other car. Chassis complete in its
entirety.
Purchased in May 2001 as an unfinished project. The following parts were then fitted: Window winders and glass, door panels, bonnet, splash apron, front bumper, body mouldings, all interior wood
trim, paint and upholstery. The leather is Connelly hide. All new panel work paint upholstery and all new carpets throughout. A very pleasing style of vehicle. The 192XJ is a car of exceptional
style and elegance. This car has presence!
The vehicle has been mobile for the last 3 years, but seldom used. Mileage since rest oration, only 3000 miles.
192 XJ is the long wheel base version. Fortunately, still retaining the drop body frame for low profile.
Priced at $298,000.00 N. Z. Dollars. Genuine inquiries only please.
Sold new in London to Mr Bracewell Smith as a two door fixed head sports coupe by Windovers. It was still owned in the UK as a chassis, only between 1965 and 1972 when sold to a dealer. Ray
Scampton of Whangarei New Zealand, purchased the project chassis, and commenced restoration. Gulf Motor Bodies of Auckland constructed the frame for the new 2 door fixed head body, built to a style
by Gurney Nutting.
Amongst the work done to the mechanical side of the P11 was a new radiator core, new white metaling in the motor, new camshaft, new engine blocks, complete set of new valves, and new rear brake
drums. Magneto was fully restored.
