Because the EVT motor is built directly into the drive sprocket, the following advantages are gained:
1) Fully articulated suspension for environmental protection, smoother ride, and greater traction.
2) NO gearboxes, differentials, axles, drive shafts, clutches, or other troublesome mechanical drive components.
3) Environmental protection- track pressure on ground is equivalent to a man wearing moccasins.
4) Each track assembly can independently oscillate, maximizing traction in uneven terrain.
5) Diesel genset (or other power source) can be located anywhere on vehicle.
6) Much higher continuous tractive pulling power, much higher overall efficiency.
7) Fully operational at -40 degrees.
