the available new EcoBoost twin turbo, direct-injected V6 engine.
The economy of a V6 with the power of a V8 - that's what EcoBoost delivers.* How is this achieved? EcoBoost combines Direct Injection (DI) technology and turbocharged performance. DI is designed to produce a cooler, denser charge that generates more power per every drop of fuel. The boost from the twin turbochargers provides the enhanced performance you'd expect from a higher displacement engine.
Also contributing to the engine's efficiency: wide 6-speed gear ratios calibrated for higher low-end torque plus increased economy at the high overdrive gear; and a power steering system that uses efficient electric actuation rather than a conventional power-extracting belt accessory drive, even when not being used.
Exhilarating power isn't the only feature of the EcoBoost V6 that engages you in the driving experience. Notice the paddle shifters integrated into the steering wheel spokes. A push back on either paddle will deliver an upshift, while a push forward will induce a matched-rev downshift.
The 3.5L EcoBoost; V6 engine, available on well-equipped Flex SEL and Limited models, is teamed with the traction and handling of Intelligent All-Wheel Drive.

The Vista Roof, available on Flex SEL and Limited, consists of four skylights covering all three rows of occupants. A power moonroof sits over the 1st row. The 2nd row has two openings. And a larger single skylight is over the 3rd row.

With SYNC you can access your music collection on your MP3 player by genre, album, artist or song title and operate your Bluetooth? phone with simple voice commands.* You can even make music selections through your flash drive by voice command.
SYNC gets a major system upgrade with the addition of 911 Assist. Within seconds after airbag deployment, SYNC uses your cell phone connection you programmed into the system to make a call to a local 911 emergency operator. A pre-recorded message will then play when the call is answered, and you'll be able to communicate with the 911 operator.
Along with 911 Assist, SYNC will offer a Vehicle Health Report feature. SYNC gathers information from the vehicle's control modules and transmits it through the cell phone connection you programmed into the system to Ford by way of an 800-number. You can receive these health reports free of charge by e-mail or text-message alerts.

The vehicle's electrical system (including the battery), the wireless service provider's signal and a connected mobile phone all must be available operating for 911 Assist to function properly. These systems may become damaged in a crash. The paired mobile phone must be connected to SYNC and the 911 Assist feature enabled in order for 911 to be dialed. - If you go with the available 2nd-row 40/40 bucket seats, you can also get the optional 2nd-row console refrigeration.
