1953 NASH HEALEY LEMANS
The Nash-Healeys are known as "3-country cars": designed by Donald Healey in England, bodied and assembled by Pinin Farina in Italy and distributed by Nash in America for the American market with a
Nash drivetrain and chassis. The Nash-Healey LeMans Coupe is one of the most attractive of early Fifties American sports car designs, combining the talents of Pinin Farina with the chassis building
and tuning talents of Donald Healey and the strong six-cylinder engine and drivetrain from the Nash Ambassador (which with dual Carter sidedraft carburetors Nash christened the "Dual Jetfire" six).
The LeMans Coupe was introduced in 1953 and would be in production for only two years. Production was extremely low, a total of only 252 cars in 1953 and 1954 including both coupes and
convertibles. This exceptional example has had a full show quality restoration lacking only the final details of assembly including door glass, horn button, glove box door, rear quarter glass, wire
wheel center caps and minor emblems. It has its original engine, three-speed manual transmission with overdrive and blackwall tires. Finished in dramatic Silver metallic with Red leather upholstery
it will reward a new owner who is willing to complete its few remaining details with a sharp, clean, fresh show-quality Nash-Healey in the ultimate classic Nash-Healey coupe configuration with
three-piece rear window and dramatic and very effective period colors.
