Although Genevac designs their equipment to be ultra compact and fit into a fume hood where possible, we recognise the need for some of our customers to free up valuable fixed fume hood space.When working with certain solvents, e.g. HPLC solvent, DMSO a fully dried result can be hard to achieve due to interactions with the dissolved sample - resulting in the formation of a gum or oil.In response to customer demand Genevac have developed a Fast Lyophilisation, or process to resolve these problems for customers working with HPLC solvents.Based on our existing HT series systems, custom modified for integration with your robotic system.So far, we have supplied customised HT-4, HT-8 and HT-12 systems, each one individually tailored to suit our customers needs. On some occasions a number of large volumes need to be dried and placed into one vial e.g. when combining HPLC purification fractions. Typically many stages are needed to achieve this seemingly simple end result, including:Dry the large volume(s) Redissolve in small volume of strong solvent Pipette to final vial of choice Dry small vial A further key application is when concentrating large volumes prior to analysis.
