Although these models look like the regular XPS and Inspiron 9100, they were built with additional cooling and heat dissapation on the inside and as a result these run much quieter and cooler. During testing we barely heard any noise from the three massive cooling fans.
We tested this unit and it passed all of our test. This is an extremely fast laptop that is durable and sturdy. Dell built this laptop for the sole purpose of gaming and it has all the high-end hardware to prove it. It has the fastest P4 processor ever produced by Intel and rated at 3.4Ghz. The processor is highly over-clockable using only software tweaks up to 3.8Ghz. It uses 800Mhz Bus speed which is equivalent to a desktop pc. It has a seperate ATI Radeon 9800 video card with 256mb onboard memory. The video card runs at 400Mhz and is highly over-clockable. It has 2Gb of DDR1 memory running at 400Mhz. It has the largest ide hard drive available on the market today at 320Gb and running at 5400 rpm. It has the highest resolution lcd display - WUXGA 15.4" full HD quality 1920 x 1200 resolution. It has a dual-layer DVDRW drive that plays and burns the new 8.4Gb DVD's and CD's.
Up for auction is a very rare limited edition Dell Inspiron XPS Extreme World of Warcraft laptop in great shape. This laptop was brought to our shop as a trade-in. This unit was well taken care of by the previous owner and includes all the original software that came with the unit.
