BioPrint Software Update     -      This option updates the Software that is on ones Device. The software will be in an ISO format, and one should understand what they are updating, before using this feature.  There will be a Wizard user interface, as noted below. One will either need to have the software ISO image in the default location of the tool exe file, or will need to browse for it.

If one continues either by selecting Next and not selecting this option above, or does select this option, and completes the format process, then one will end up at the following UI option.

Important Note:  All data will be lost, so make sure any data that is wanted form either the Public or Secure drives has first been moved before selecting this option.

Resize and Format        -      This is for reformatting the Public/Secure drives, and resetting BioPrint Registered User Information as an option during this process.

Select Start option, the first available option will be to format the Public and Secure Drive.

The following UI appears:  (This is a Wizard formatted tool, and one can decide which options one wants as they migrate through the Wizard.)

c.    BioPrint Update       -      This option updates the Software that is on ones Device. The software will be in an ISO format, and one should understand what they are updating to before using this feature.  There will be an open user interface, in order to pick the ISO image of the BioPrint software that one would like to load.Launch the tool by selecting BioFlashTool.exe.

        b.  Resize and Format        -      This is for reformatting the Public/Secure drives, and resetting BioPrint Registered User Information as an option during this process.

       If the ISO image is in the folder, and both the formatting and the ISO update are successful. 

       a.    Select New BioPrint HDD     This is specifically made for one that is placing an HDD device into a BioPrint Enclosure.  When using this feature, the ISO image used for updating the software needs to be in the same folder location as the BioHDDTool.exe file, otherwise, an error will be noted after the formatting process has successfully completed. The error message will note: Failed to update BioPrint!.

The following UI appears:

 Launch the tool by selecting BioHDDTool.exe.

       End User:  The tools will be provided either through a Web page, a CDROM, or the Public drive of the device, depending on the distributor of the product.

       3rd Party Customer:       If one has extracted this document from the latest BioPrint release package.rar  file, then all the necessary files/tools are inside the rar file for updating either a  BioPrint HDD or BioPrint Flash Device. 

Important Note:  One should understand that if one reformats their BioPrint drives, all information stored on these drives will be lost. Make sure that one has moved all valuable data to a different location before using the format option found in the End User Tools.

This tool is created for the End User.  The main purpose is to either reformat the secure and public drives of BioPrint HDD device, and be able to reset the Registered User configuration information during this process if one wishes to. Also, there is an option to update a version of BioPrint software if necessary.
