Our USB 2.0 Hi-Speed CardBus card gives your notebook increased functionality and greater mobility. USB 2.0 offers a dramatic performance increase over version USB 1.1. USB 1.1 has a max speed of only 12Mbits p/s, whereas USB 2.0 offers speeds up to 480Mbits p/s. USB, standing for "Universal Serial Bus", allows you to attach multiple peripheral devices simultaneously all with automatic device detection and installation. Our USB 2.0 Hi-Speed CardBus card is also "backwards-compatible". This means that you can plug in your older USB peripherals and your new USB 2.0 Hi-Speed peripherals into the same computer with no loss in performance of either.
