Portable Advanced Flash In System Programmer for the Atmel AVR series of microcontrollers. This version includes a USB interface and has extended target voltage support from 1.8V to 5.5V. The FISP uses the supply from the USB port or in standalone mode uses the target supply. No batteries to worry about, as data is stored in a large 512KByte Flash allowing up to 8 different programs to be stored at the same time. Advanced target indentity features allow the FISP to determine which of the several programs to load into the target.
