In 1986, Data Access Incorporated developed the IBM mainframe-based portion of Digital Equipment Corporations Data Transfer Facility, DTF. After 18 years, the product is still in use at over 100 of HPs largest customer installations.  Data Access continues to serve as HPs engineering support organization for this product.

Data Access Incorporated operates as a part of its sister company,   Systems & Communications Sciences, Inc.  is a service oriented organization which provides Systems Programming and data center management services to customers with IBM mainframes. 

Data Access Incorporated was founded in 1986 with a charter to develop and support the Data Transfer Facility.  In conjunction with Digital Equipment Corporation (now HP), Data Access Incorporated developed the mainframe component of the Data Transfer Facility product.  This product has been in use at over a hundred mainframe sites for over a decade.   Data Access Incorporated has served as the engineering and level 2 support organization throughout this period.
