There is observed the NC geometric task with its main components, the interpreter of flow programs and the interpolator. It is shown the evolution of requirements to these modules during the last
time: the interpreter should be adjustable to any version of the ISO-7bit code of flow programs; the interpolator should have the open (extensible) architecture and should avail any combination of
interpolation algorithms. There is submitted an approach for realization of geometric-task modules in practice.
