The Drug Pedigree System (QDPS) utilizes the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) Technology to fight with drug counterfeiting. The canisters containing the medicines are tagged with embedded electronic chips, which have a unique code for a specific product or multiple products. The product is inspected at the end terminal for authentication by means of electronic gadgets. A digital record is created for the transaction and a receipt is provided. The distribution process is completely recorded from the start till the end.
