Behavioral Health Information System

MEDITECH is pleased to announce our integrated Behavioral Health Information System that helps facilities manage both the quality and the cost of care they provide to behavioral health clients. This new system supports a continuum of mental health care, r anging from emergency crisis intervention, acute and long-term care hospitalization, short-term episodic outpatient treatment services, and longer-term rehabilitative outpatient mental health services. MEDITECH has developed a fully integrated, client-foc used product line that supports all aspects of the unique mental health environment.

MEDITECH's Behavioral Health system integrates information across administrative, financial, and clinical departments so organizations can function more effectively. Using MEDITECH's system, client information is always accurate and up-to-date and adminis trators have the clinical and financial statistics they need at their fingertips.

Behavioral health agencies are also able to work cohesively with acute care hospitals, ambulatory facilities, and home health agencies in the network. All care providers throughout the organization can access a client's psychiatric and medical condition w hen care is required. Security and confidentiality features enable your organization to set access parameters to client data for each user within your organization.

In 1999, the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (MDMH) entered into an agreement with MEDITECH to become our very first behavioral health customer. In succession, Spring Harbor Hospital in Portland, ME, became the first private hospital to implemen t MEDITECHs Behavioral Health suite.
