ProTrack's Image Alignment Technology encapsulated for integration.The library encapsulate the implementation of ProTrack's Image Alignment Technology and can be used in
application when image matching is needed. The powerful technology promises best performances under tough conditions. For example: matching between Arial photos taken at different year seasons so they look quite different (especially in agricultural zones). Image matching is a stage needed in many applications, such as accurate fusion, target acquisition and more. The library interface allows the easy integration in any such applications. The algorithm computes global homographic matching between images and warps one image toward the other. This gives the optimal global matching between the images. However, such matching may not be accurate enough all over the image. To achieve top accuracy at every image location, local matching algorithm is included, yielding optimal matching at each image portion. The library can use Digital Terrain Model (DTM), to support matching of terrain images taken from different spots. The library includes a build-in Views Generator (mostly used in flight simulators). It uses the DTM to change the original view point of one image to the approximated view point of the second image as a pre-step before the matching is done. The following snapshot is from an application with the purpose of matching between images taken at different spots. In this specific example, the images are taken with different cameras and different zoom. The user clicks on the first image to get the accurate corresponding point on the second image |
