For a calculation, the user may choose time intervals freely (month/Q/year, etc.). When the user enters capital expenditures, Invest calculates the depreciations and book value. The user can enter income and cost directly in the Income Statement rows. The user can name the rows and use up to 99 specification rows to split the sum rows. Invests row operators can be used for modeling a business/investment. The user may link to other Excel worksheets. Invest helps determine how much working capital will be needed. The cash flow statement report shows the cash flow of the business. The profitability of a project is shown in many ways, such as net present value, internal rate of return, and pay-back. In the comparisons module, the user can see the different scenarios side by side. Sensitivity analysis reports are available for CAPEX, income, variable costs, and fixed costs. The user can pick any input variables to the analyses. Break-even of any input variable can be found in a few seconds. Invest for Excel also offers tax calculation and weighted average cost of capital (WACC). The solution provides currency conversion and automatically generates a balance sheet for the project/investment. The user may also include historical periods and input opening balance. A project financing module is available for simulation of debt. Invest calculates payment schedules for most types of loans, including most types of financing fees. Invest brings cash flow from investment file (need for financing on a monthly basis). The user just presses a button, and the income statement, cash flow analysis, and balance sheet is updated with financing items. Invest also provides an advanced template for acquisitions with goodwill calculation and effects on the buying companys income statement and balance sheet. Impairment testing according to IFRS and US Gaap regulations.
