EPC software can also be used in a network containing more than one server. In such a case the UPS can be connected to any one of the server or terminal computer provided that the compatible operating system is installed. UPS observation and control operations are done from this connected PC screen. Moreover, during mains failure other server or terminal PCs can also be shutdown safely although their operating system is like Unix, Linux or Netware.

With the aid of its serial communication port, in a Local Area Network the UPS can be connected either to the server or to one of the client computers. The EPC software program should be installed to the connected computer. EPC software is compatible with Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT Workstation and Windows NT Server, Win Me, Windows XP and Windows 2000 operating systems. Thus this is obligatory to have any one of the above-mentioned operating systems installed in the PC connected to the UPS.

• EPC software family is developed from professional Observation and Controlling UPS programs in order to observe, command and control the UPS parameters from PC. These programs provide communication between the RS232 port (COM port) of a PC and the RS232 port of the UPS. Thus the information obtained can be observed and controlled easily at the EPC window on the PC monitor.
