CKS Software, proprietary software developed by CKS, is firmly established as a de facto standard for large multi-location pharmacy groups and has been successfully deployed into most of the major pharmacy groups in Southern Africa, independant retail pharmacies and more than 200 retail clients. CKS has grown its user base by providing effective and efficient software that is continuously improved and upgraded, and a qualified and responsive national support infrastructure.

CKS Software is developed in COBOL and has an installed user base across most platforms, including Linux, UNIX, Windows and Novell. The software modules include Dispensing, Claim Settlement, Debtors, Invoicing or Point Of Sale, Inventory Management, Creditors, Purchasing, and a Mini Loyalty Program. The software can be set up in a single user or multi-user environment, or a single store or multi-store environment.

CKS has a programming department that consists of 6 programmers, each specializing in a specific area of CKS Software. These programmers continually maintain the integrity and make any improvements to the software that has been requested by CKS Software clients. One of the strengths of the current CKS Software is the fact that all clients benefit from the enhancements in the software as a result of the combined input and suggestions from the current users.
