The Virtual Academy beat Oracles goal of acquiring new leads by a substantial amount. The brand achieved an 11% lift in awareness of Oracle midsize business custom software and an 8% increase in purchase intent solutions among participants in the Oracle Academy.

We created a free online resource center called Oracle Virtual Academy that was structured around an educational environment for busy executives to access relevant content. We positioned it as a Mini-MBA course, centered on leveraging technology strategies and solutions to create competitive advantage and business growth. Oracle developed custom pieces of content including boardroom videos, case studies and webcasts which were then posted to the online Academy for downloading. Continually renewed content, materials and courses were available throughout the six-month effort. Additionally, incentive promotions such as free tickets to attend technology events and seminars were promoted as a tool to encourage semester completion.

Oracle is the industry leader in database software, with over 90% penetration of the worlds largest corporations listed on the Fortune 1000. In recent years, Oracle made several strategic decisions aimed at expanding its product portfolio beyond traditional database software. Our program needed to initiate interest and trial among select midsize companies and ensure these business owners were aware of and considering technology solutions provided by Oracle
