VisualRMS/T comprises of two modules :
1. VisualRMS FRONT Office module (having Touch based user interface)
2. VisualRMS BACK Office module
The VisualRMS Front Office module consists of two levels of access functions, typically associated with a
Restaurant Store front operation. These are :
1.a. CASHIERING function
1.b. MANAGER function
The VisualRMS Front Office module operates in an off-line single-user mode at the Store front of the Restaurant
outlet. At start of a business day, the Price Look Up (PLU) file is uploaded into the Front Office module - from the
VisualRMS ADMINISTRATOR - Back Office module. At the end of each Day, the Day End files are downloaded from
Front Office module to the Back Office module. During the day, users of Front Office module may dial up and
connect to the Back Office module, to do Stock Queries, etc. There is no limit to the number of Front Office modules
that can connect into one Back Office module.
The Front Office module emulates all the hard key functions of a typical Point-of-Sale machine, by providing software
driven options instead. It generates Hourly Coverage Report and Day End Reports, which gives store front
management effective control on their operations.
The Cashier function maintains information pertaining to Menu Items, Cash & Credit / Credit Card Sales, Sales
Returns, Settlement Details, etc.
The Manager function performs master file maintenance, user maintenance and general housekeeping Recipe
Master maintenance, Sales Promotion, Master File Transfers, Error File Correction & Back Office Updation. It
maintains information pertaining to System Parameters, User Profiles & IDs, Currencies, Credit Cards, etc. It also
