How it all works Software is loaded onto any company networked personal computer that has access to the ERP and its data base and has internet access. This software is not visible, and does not require any user intervention or maintenance.  This software retrieves master file information relevant to the module required and pushes the information across the internet to a remote secure server hosted by Oceanside technologies.  The level of information extracted is limited and would not provide any form of detail.   This ERP master file information is then presented in a user name and password controlled web site, and allows for the remote creation of task cycles. It is in this website where a manager will log in and create the call cycles for his or her staff.  For example Sales call cycles can be created on a day to day basis for individual sales people.  This site also allows for the creation of reusable templates, which simplifies the process and does not require major effort once the templates have been created. 

Bridging the gap - The ever increasing development within the mobile technology industry and the constantly decreasing data transfer cost, provides a means of economically bridging the gap between remote users with their office.  

Of the many benefits provided by ERP software, two of the driving thoughts includes the i) need to reduce paperwork, by providing visual and a live means with which to analyse how a business is performing on all levels in many disciplines and ii) to be able to speed up the business cycle, from creation to consumption.  This thought is more than often achievable while a user is in the office and or connected to the network, but less practical and affordable when not in the office.
