The License Management System (LMS) is managed to protect the installation of IDS products.
The LMS system is composed of two parts:
Client management system
It is the program that handles the license creation at the IDS offices. Customers will be defined locally at IDS in database. The database will contain relevant information about customers. The
information will include the programs and their corresponding modules purchased by the customer in order to keep track of what every customer has purchased. Every customer will be provided with an
ID and a PASSWORD.
Protection
It is the program that handles the steps taken in installing and configuring the security setup related to IDS customers. The procedure must be implemented for old and new installations in order to
have IDS customers enlisted within the Security Database at IDS.
This database, which contains information about every customer, will serve as a reference to IDS customers concerning the purchased modules and the implemented security on site.
