Squid proxy cache software

Squid proxy cache is used to cache static web pages (html and images) to a Linux server on the local network. When the page is requested a second time, the browser returns the data from the local proxy instead of the origin web server, thus improving internet bandwidth savings. The internet browser is explicitly configured to direct all HTTP requests to the proxy cache, rather than the target web server. Squid proxy caching server provides Internet access control and comes with a cache analysis report generator which allows you to view "where" your users are going to on the Internet  by providing many informations about  users activities: times, bytes, sites, etc...
