Specks R&D and software group is focused on developing GIS and situational awareness solutions for the defence forces.A comprehensive Digital Archival and Retrieval solution meeting the varied requirements of Defence customers has been developed by this division.The group has also developed a Battle Field Management Solution (BFMS) for tactical field application which enables transmission of short text messages, images and GPS coordinates, from a field position to a command post.The group has expertise in Digital Image Processing, Mapping and related areas. Based on concepts like visualization, flythroughs and walkthroughs, mission planning, change detection etc, the group is developing solutions to enable Battlefield Management, Vehicle Navigation, Intelligence Management. These involve capturing information and data from various sensors and sources to enable decision support, simulation, training, logistics and management of information / spatial data.The group aims to provide turnkey / stand alone domain specific solutions, focused in near real time battlefield situational awareness, both in peace and war times, enabling decision support in the areas of: Information Superiority Electronic Warfare Area Missile Defence Combat Identification Precision Force Military Operation in built-up area Combating Terrorism Nuclear, Chemical and Biological WarfareDefence and Protection Logistics Based on concepts like visualization, flythrough's and walkthroughs, mission planning, change detection etc, these solutions enable Battlefield Management, Vehicle Navigation, Intelligence Management, capturing information and data from various sensors and sources to enable decision support, simulation, training, logistics and management of information / spatial data.A comprehensive Archival and Retrieval software meeting the varied requirements of Defence customers has been developed by this division.
