Livestock System

The Belvoir Livestock System is an integrated system that is used in Sale yards and offices for the processing and accounting of livestock. The Belvoir Livestock System (like all Belvoir systems) may be tailored to match the required processing. The system is build as a set of components which are selected and tailored by selecting options in the system setup. The major components of the Livestock system are:Arrivals Agent Booking and controlled arrivals Drafting Weighing Ring Selling Pen Selling Office pre-sale Office selling NVD entry and scanning NLIS interfacing Reporting Bulk billing RFID processing Mob based processing Data Control Management (DCM) By selecting appropriate setup parameters (that may be changed as processing requirements change), a sale yard may use a few (2 or 3) of the components or most of the components, the processing requirements define the operational system. The Livestock system is based on Sale Types and the operational requirements are setup for each sale type. By specifying a sale as a particular type specifies the componets and how those components fit the processing. At Wagga, for example, sale types are setup for prime cattle, store cattle, Fat Sheep and Lambs. Another setup is at Gracemere Livestock Selling Complex, they have Cattle, Camels, Horses, Stud sale types setup.Most of the data input may be done using touch screens. The Arrivals, Drafting, Weighing, Ring Selling and Pen Selling are touch processes.
