Uniview is a low-cost yet powerful and comprehensive management tool for all Millimetrix radios. Uniview offers full FCAPS functionality through a friendly and intuitive graphical user interface. Running on an ordinary PC under Windows XP/2000 and supporting industry-standard protocols such as SNMP and XML, Uniview is a versatile software, interoperable with a variety of third-party management tools.

Architecturally Uniview is a three-tiered software comprising:
  • A Client - a graphical user interface application featuring context-sensitive management

  • A Server - the engine "behind the scenes" handling all processes communication and automated logic.

  • A Database - data storage supporting a standard SQL interface.

Uniview features include:

Fault Management
  • Network-wide fault management

  • Context-sensitive alarms display

  • Icon and color association with alarm severities

  • Automatic synchronization with network elements

  • Powerful logs and browsers for alarms and events

  • Alarms suppression, acknowledgement and filtering

Configuration Management
  • Context-sensitive configuration screens

  • Link-level configuration

  • Automatic network-wide Time Of Day synchronization

  • Maintenance-level configuration

Status and Performance Monitoring
  • Graphic and numeric displays

  • Automatic polling at user-specified intervals

  • Real-time and historical data collected for comprehensive performance criteria:
    • Quality of payload

    • Modem performance

    • Transmit and receive power levels

    • Operation of protection switching

Administration
