HQsnooker Light Control Software

HQsnooker system was designed with fraud elimination in mind. Many snooker parlours encountered problems with cash sales misreporting as these owners rely on manual time keeping method. They were some who attempted to install analogue meters to record the play time in the hope that it will tally with the cash collections. Analogue meters are not accurate enough and rather inconvenient to be used as the cashier has to manually switch on the light that are mounted on top of every snooker table. We designed this system to be as fool proof as possible. As personal computers (PC) are to be used to control the lights, design issues related to PC were taken into consideration. The outcome of the design is a very simple and user friendly system that not only uses our own embedded controllers and relay boards but also our own security chips to control abuse of our software system. It is able to tolerate power failure, accidental or intentional reset. Time played readings are not affected by such an event.

• it handles Food and Beverage sales and provides stock movement reports and sales audit trails
• generation of management reports or inquires will not have any effect to the light monitoring devices
• table sales can be viewed or printed within a user defined date range
• there will be an alert on the computer display if there is any abuse as a result of reset to the PC
• cashier cannot duplicate the software program onto the PC itself or out of the PC in the hope that the data can be simulated behind the scene and uses the abuse data to misinterpret cash collection
• handles member discount rates
• different play rates can be set on-the-fly or you can schedule the different rates to take effect automatically and you can also override the rates any time you want - of course with a password!
