1.1     Company overview

DirectVision is a Romanian software company specialized in developing Internet/Intranet applications. Established in 2003, DirectVision has been developing complex software solutions for our clients based in UK, USA, Germany, Romania, Latvia and Israel.

Our Application Development services include the designing and development of new applications and redevelopment / re-engineering of existing applications. Our approach requires a close contact with our clients in order of defining comprehensive technical solutions, combining business and industry knowledge with technology in order of meeting specific application development needs. Our global service delivery model and well-defined development methodology enables us to provide quality solutions, accelerated delivery and significant cost savings to clients around the world.

1.2      The team

DirectVision currently employs Microsoft, Oracle, Sun Microsystems and IBM certified professionals who have a good command over the English language. Our employees are also participants and winners of international and national IT contests.
The competences of our teams of specialists are an additional assurance of the quality and reliability of the products and services that we offer.

1.3       Methodology

DirectVision uses a software development methodology which especially designed for offshore software development. Our methodology captures many of the best practices of software development, including developing software control techniques, managing requirements, using component-based architectures, continuously verifying software quality and controlling changes to software. This careful and practical approach to development ensures the production of high quality software that meets the needs of its end users within a predictable schedule and budget.

1.4       Quality

DirectVision is in the process of implementing a Quality System certification plan in accordance with the ISO 9001 standards. However, we are currently ensuring the quality of all of our processes for Design, Development, Testing, Integration, Maintenance, Optimization, Conversion and Porting of the software applications.

     3. Work methods

     We have several ways of working with our clients:

    Offshore development model or
    Fixed price/fixed scope model
    Customizable product model

Offshore development model means that we will set up a  team for our client, according to clients requests. This team will be managed either by us, either by the client and will be used only for developing the clients projects/products.  A payment plan will be established, on a monthly basis,  according with the number of days worked for a particular client during the course of a month. The client will approve a time sheet after the finalizing of the project.

Fixed price/fixed scope model means that the client will send us the requirements of the work that needs to be developed. We will analyze the clients materials and offer a timeframe estimation and a cost (fixed one). After the work will be accomplished, the client will be charged with the agreed price for the work order. If during the development of a work order, you will need other functionalities added, we will treat them as change requests, estimate their impact to the entire project, change the final deadline and costs accordingly and proceed with the project. Usually for fix price model we request an upfront payment of 30% .

Customizable product model means that we will deliver an already developed software solution to the client. This solution will have a fixed price, having been already developed by our teams. If the client will require a set of alterations to the standard application to better fit a set of standards or a certain number of employees for example, we will analyze these additional requirements and provide a fixed cost. If the client finds the application to be a perfect match with his organization infrastructure, no additional costs will be charged and the software solution will be delivered as a standalone product.

3.1. Property Rights

Source codes and any related materials to the clients products or projects will become the clients property and will be part of the deliverables.
