In the last few months the Bulgarian Energy Market is changing very fast. Since May 2006 there are licensed 12 trade operators and 5 of them are already operating on the free market. In the meantime, the Privatisation Agency is taking care of the privatization of a lot of power plants, previously property of the National Electricity Company (NEK).The State Water and Energy Regulatory Commission is regulating the tariffs of energy.
