The Loongson 2E processor is a universal RISC processor which implements the 64-bit MIPS III instruction set architecture. It adopts 90 nm CMOS technology on 7 wiring layers of copper. On a single 6.8nm-by-5.2nm chip ,it contains 47 million transistors. It works at the maximum operating frequency of 1 GHz, and typical operating frequency of 800 MHz. the Actual Measured power is about 5 to 7 watts. Loongson 2E has an on-chip 128 KB L1 cache and 512 KB L2 cache. the peak speed of single-precision floating-point computation is 8 billion times / sec,and the double precision floating point operation runs at 4 billion times / second . In the condition of running at 1 GHz,Its SPEC CPU2000 score reached 500 points. It performs comprehensively as well as the high-end Pentium3 and low-end Pentium 4 processor
