The user friendly V-RAID software interface enables easy disk array configuration and management.

VIA Hyper8 Technology
VIA's ground breaking Hyper8 technology provides a full 16-bit/1GHz on upstream and downstream buses of HyperTransport link between the K8M890 North Bridge and next generation 64-bit compatible platforms based around AMD Athlon 64 and AMDSempron processors, achieving data transfers speeds of up to 8GB/s.

Ultra V-Link Bus
Delivering data throughput speeds of up to 1GB/s from the VIA VT8251 South Bridge to the VIA K8M890 North Bridge, the Ultra V-Link interface delivers the necessary bandwidth and low latency required by today's increasingly demanding multimedia applications.

The K8M890 also features extensive display support for all HDTV output formats including 1920x1080p when coupled with an HDTV encoder, and additional advanced graphics capabilities include the Chromotion Video Display Engine, comprehensive de-interlace support, and DuoView for enhanced productivity and presentation capabilities. The K8M890's highly flexible architecture also allows for an external PCI Express x16 port for optional graphic card upgrades.
