The second type of receiver/monitor is mounted in a waiting area where the number of the client/ customer/patient etc., is displayed when their turn has come to receive either goods ordered or when a service representative/doctor/teller etc., is available to attend to them.

The first type of receiver/monitor is designed to display the location of a client/customer/patient etc., who is calling for service. This is normally located in the area where the service provider would most commonly be so as to alert the service provider who can then respond promptly.
